I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (MFT license #48332) and have provided counseling services since 2004. While earning my MA in Clinical Psychology from Notre Dame de Namur University, I provided individual, group and family therapy to children, adolescents and adults. I received specific training in substance abuse, school based counseling, and developmental disorders. After receiving my MA, I accepted a counseling position at a 60 bed, level 12 group home for teenaged mothers in the juvenile justice system. I conducted assessments and provided bilingual individual, group, family and crisis therapy. I received specialized clinical training in gang violence, crisis intervention, and conduct disorder. Shortly following my experience in the group home, I conducted psychosocial assessments and provided counseling services to refugee children who lived in a federally funded residential program. While working in the refugee program, I learned to assess and treat children who were victims of human trafficking, war crimes and/or abuse.

More recently, I provided in-office counseling services to court mandated children and families. I worked closely with Orange County Social Services to counsel families whose children were taken in to custody due to abuse and/or neglect. I also worked as the Clinical Case manager for the Shelter Network. I provided case management services to homeless clients with dual diagnosis and mental health concerns.

Most recently, I served as the Manager of Client Services at Community Overcoming Relationship Abuse (CORA), San Mateo County’s only non-profit dedicated to serving survivors of domestic violence and their families. I managed the 24 hour hotline and Emergency Response Program. I was responsible for training counselors in trauma therapy, including group, child and individual intervention strategies. I currently sit on the Board of Directors at CORA and participate in growing the agency to better serve San Mateo County.
